- Precise Single-Point Metering: Ensures that each lubrication point receives an independent, accurate dose of lubricant, preventing waste and under-lubrication.
- Independent Operation: Each injector operates independently; a blockage in one injector does not affect others, enhancing system fault tolerance.
- Flexible Installation: Can be installed directly near individual lubrication points or connected via short lines, offering flexible routing for complex equipment.
- Simple Maintenance: If an injector fails, it can be replaced or repaired individually without affecting the entire system.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to progressive systems, in some applications, due to their modularity and independence, initial installation and long-term maintenance may be more cost-effective.
- Visual Indicator (Optional): Some models are equipped with a visual indicator pin, allowing for easy visual confirmation of lubricant discharge.
- Broad Applicability: Suitable for oil and light grease, widely used in various machinery requiring precise single-point lubrication.
Unlike the chain-reaction principle of progressive feeders, positive displacement injectors are connected in parallel to the main supply line. When the main line pressure reaches a set value, the piston inside each injector independently completes its stroke, forcing lubricant into its respective lubrication point. When the main line depressurizes, the piston resets, preparing for the next lubrication cycle. This independence means that if some injectors are blocked, other functioning injectors can continue to work.
Positive displacement injectors are widely used in various single-line parallel centralized lubrication systems that require stable, reliable, and fault-tolerant capabilities. Typical applications include:
- Small to Medium-Sized Machinery: Such as automated assembly lines, packaging machinery, printing presses.
- Machine Tools: Guide rails, ball screws, small bearings, etc.
- Chain Lubrication: Automatic lubrication for various conveyor chains and drive chains.
- Bearings and Gears: Precise lubrication for various independent bearings and open gears.
- Wind Power Generation: Yaw gears, pitch gears, etc.
- Lifting Equipment, Conveyor Belts, etc.
